– The guacamole is not one of the best dips that we have tried.
– Is the best dip that we have tried in our lives!
Although to be honest the guacamole should not be seen nor treated as a dip or as a salsa , but as a “work of art" because that’s what it is.
The guacamole goes with any type of Mexican food or non Mexican food (is not a problem). Although it is a accustom to eat it with snacks and appetizers like: tortilla chips , nachos, sincronizadas , chips, bread , quesadillas , etc.
About the Recipe
- Making the guacamole is an easy task only ingredients have to be chopped and mixed.
- The guacamole’s perfect consistency consists in the avocado being soft as puree and the other ingredients have to be more solid.
- The recipe is given with 1 serrano pepper but this is to taste.
- If you want to give another touch to the guacamole prepare it in a molcajete, only the bowl has to be changed for the molcajete.

Directions
Work with some Ingredients- Dice 1/2 onion and 1 tomato; then set aside.
- Remove the seeds and the veins of 1 serrano pepper.
- Finely chop the serrano pepper with the one you worked and 5 coriander sprigs; then set aside.
- Scoop out the pulp of 3 avocados and put it in a bowl; reserve 1 avocado pit.
- Mash with a fork the avocados’ pulp that was put in the bowl, until having the consistency of a puree.
- Add in the bowl:
- The Onion dices that were chopped.
- The Tomato dices that were chopped.
- The Serrano Pepper that was minced.
- The Coriander that was minced.
- The juice of 1/2 Lime.
- 1/2 tablespoon of Salt.
The lime juice is very important because it is used for the avocado not to oxidize. |
- Mix very well the bowl ingredients with a mixing spatula.
- Insert in the guacamole the avocado pit that was reserved.
The avocado pit serves to preserve the guacamole for a longer time. |
